DJ Quik

DJ Quik (David Blake) is from Compton, he left the C out of his name because it stands for Crip. DJ Quik released his debut album in 1991 called Quik Is The Name, and in 1992 Quik released Way 2 Fonky. For 1995's Safe & Sound DJ Quik made Suge Knight his manager with Suge being the executive producer of the album. The album contained disses to MC Eiht including Dollaz & Sense, Quik and MC Eiht had dissed each other through the early and mid 90's. In 1998 DJ Quik released Rhythm-Al-Ism and in 2000 he released Balance & Options. In 2002 DJ Quik released Under The Influence, it featured Talib Kweli, AMG, Dr Dre, Pharoah Monch, Suga Free and others. In 2002 DJ Quik released The Best Of DJ Quik.
